Lynx MiNDTM Pre-Release Announcement
In September Lynx announced the Q4 availability of Lynx MiND. Lynx MiND is an OCF (Open Connectivy Foundation) compliant smart home solution, which includes a rules engine that will enable OCF device interoperability. “Over 26% of U.S. broadband households currently own a smart home device and 442 million connected devices will be sold in the U.S. by 2020,” according to Brad Russell, senior analyst with Parks Associates. “Solutions that enable wide-ranging interoperability are best positioned to succeed.” Once embedded with the Lynx MiND Engine - a gateway, NAS, wireless router or STB will function as a smart home hub that will interoperate with other OCF-certified devices (e.g. thermostats, lights, locks, cameras), and has the capability to provide a bridge to devices on other smart home ecosystems (e.g. Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread). See the full press release here.
